Our History

"Seven Decades of Mining"

"Pioneering Pakistan's Mineral Legacy"

Started his journey before Queen Elizabeth II visit to princely state of Swat, by mining antimony and lead on the rugged roads of Kalam valley before the state independence. His efforts realized the foundation of Gulshan Mining Company in 1969.

In 1980s, the parental company Swat Mining Corporation was founded to source minerals in rural areas, and it discovered one of the rich potassic feldspar deposit in Buner village, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Seeing the opportunity to impact industry and livelihood in Pakistan, work on quarry began.

Firstly, EMCO insulators and Master Tiles started purchase, since then supply has been regular to ceramics and glass industry. SMC expanded its operations to process minerals for oil and gas companies.

SMC being parental company, led the creation of Khyber Minerals Swat in 2013.
